About Sara Wilder, LCSW, LCAS, CCS:
Sara Wilder is a clinical social worker and addiction specialist with experience with many different setting and age groups. She is credentialed and in good standing with both the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board and NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board.
Sara completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at East Carolina University. She received her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Psychology degree in 2011 and her Masters of Social Work degree with a certification in substance abuse in 2014.
Sara is passionate about the mental health and addiction population, gaining experience over the years with various populations and in settings such as, residential substance abuse treatment, inpatient psychiatric and detoxification, intensive and regular outpatient substance abuse/DWI treatment, and corrections.
Sara utilizes a predominant cognitive behavioral approach to treating mental health disorders and addiction issues. Her approach has developed from her specialized training in Transactional Analysis, Motivational Interviewing, and other treatment modalities. She has experience working with individuals, groups, and families. She has a special interest in food addiction.
Sara is a certified clinical supervisor for addiction professionals entering into the field.
